Around 1980 when these recordings were made the Atari computer (1 meg of ram) was one of the first devices used to sequence samples. All sounds except the vocals and piano were made in this way and transferred to the analogue 24 track machine. Amazing vocals by Joy Yates and the piano and everything else by Dave MacRae except Hold On which has Moses MacRae playing drums. All compositions except Herbie Hancock's Maiden Voyage are by Joy Yates and Dave MacRae composed just prior to the recording. We remember enjoying creating and recording these tracks and hope you enjoy as well. The art work, a biro drawing (can't remember who drew it but thanks), was found on the back of an analogue tape box when the tracks were assembled in 2020. Any donations gratefully received.
